What is the vendor's partner ecosystem? Software vendors rely on an ecosystem of technology partnerships and systems integrators to make them successful. For example, The Bank of New York Mellon leveraged industry accelerators from the systems integrator LiquidHub to transform its CRM use from compliance-support processes to support for better client engagement. Ask questions about the depth and breadth of sales partners; delivery partners, which include a library of canned offerings for a particular industry; and customer service partners. Ask questions about the size of the partner community delivering plug-ins, extensions, or integrations to the base product and the way that it maintains these extensions over time.
